Barrow have announced they are releasing 10 players on the completion of the 2023/24 season.

The Bluebirds fell away in the closing weeks of the season, slipping from fourth in the table to outside the play-offs.

Following the expiry of their contracts the following players are being released: George Ray, Jamie Proctor, Tom White, Courtney Duffus, Sam Foley, Tyrell Warren, Rory Feely, Owen Bray, Malakai Reeve and Sam Bellis.

Cole Stockton and Luca Stephenson are returning to their parent clubs following the conclusion of their loan deals.

It means that Barrow currently have 13 players under contract: Mazeed Ogungbo, Dean Campbell, David Worrall, Kian Spence, Ged Garner, Robbie Gotts, Dom Telford and Emile Acquah, while Sean Etaluku, Junior Tiensia, Niall Canavan, Elliot Newby, Paul Farman have had their one-year contract extensions triggered by the club.

James Chester and Ben Whitfield both have contracts that will expire in the summer but they remain in talks with the club over a new deal with renewed terms:

Barrow are also in talks with Josh Lillis over becoming the club’s full-time goalkeeper coach.
