A mix of warm weather and thunder is set to hit Cumbria over the May bank holiday.
The Met Office is predicting warm temperatures reaching up to 18 degrees in some parts of the county with some heavy rain, cloud and thunder also likely.
Today is set to be largely dry, sunny – with temperatures hitting a maximum of 20 degrees and a possibility of a few rain showers this afternoon.
This evening will see in a mostly dry night but will turning increasingly cloudy, with many areas becoming misty and murky by dawn.
A few spots of drizzle are also possible.
On Friday, the weather is set to be overcast, turning increasingly wet with outbreaks of rain and drizzle becoming heavier and persistent.
There will be some potential for thunder throughout the day and the temperature will feel generally cooler.
When the weekend begins, the weather from Saturday to Monday is set to be changeable, with showers of longer spells of rain at times, mixed in with warm sunshine and light winds.
The weather forecaster is also predicting dry and fine weather next week – with a smaller possibility of rain and showers.

The Met Office has not issued any severe weather warnings for thunderstorms in Cumbria just yet – but it is predicting thunder tomorrow, Friday May 3.
The long range weather forecast covering Monday, May 6, to Wednesday, May 15, is predicting warmer weather – which is being described as a warmer than average start to May.
From Thursday May 16 until Thursday May 30 the weather is set to remain unsettled, bringing spells of both wet and dry weather.
