A serious collision resulted in the closure of Kemplay Bank roundabout for most of the night.
The police said the incident happened yesterday, Monday, May 6 and the roundabout was closed while emergency services were at the scene.
The roundabout at Penrith, which connects the M6 to the A66, is now fully reopen.
