It’s been a tough season for the Cockermouth Wasps after their promotion to Regional 2 North.

Unfortunately, they went through the campaign without a win and will be back playing in Counties 1 Cumbria next season.

However, that wasn’t reflected at the club’s presentation night for senior members of the club.

It was a great, fun night with optimism bright for what lies ahead and there were special thanks to organised by outgoing skipper James Hunter and partner Liv who had organised the evening, topped off by food and music.

Chair Stef Highton opened the night, followed by vice chair Robert Huck who gave a clear vision of the club’s future progression.

Outgoing coach Chris Wright compered the presentations and was joined by fellow committee members to present the players with their awards.

Jeff Peet presented all the club’s match day off-field volunteers with much deserved presents.

  • Season highlight – Spencer Fulton’s try at Upper Eden
