It was a reduced programme in the Cumbria Conference but two of the three fixtures were very tight and competitive.
A late drop goal earned Millom a 29-28 win at Hindpool Tigers while Distington turned around a half-time deficit to win 16-12 at Ellenborough.
The third game ended in a 48-18 win for Barrow Island at Seaton Rangers.
Millom were pleased to get another win again but it was touch and go before Lee Postlethwaite dropped a goal with four minutes left.
The Woollybacks had trailed 22-12 at half-time with their man of the match Josh Blinkhorn and Jack Proctor going in for their tries, both converted by Postlethwaite.
In the second-half tries by Daniel Hartrley, Blinkhorn and Tom Askew, plus two Postlethwaite conversions saw the sides all square at 28-28 – before Millom’s goal kicker put over the winning field goal.

Hindpool’s first half tries came from Kori Hayes, Rocco Scarpone, Paul Rickleton and Beattie with Beattie converting three. Beattie scored his second try late in the game and his conversion tied-up the game at 28-28 – only for Postlethwaite to snatch it for Millom.
Hindpool were grateful for Millom’s gesture in agreeing to play on their opponent’s ground so that Tigers popular chairman, Graham Shaw wheelchair bound after surgery in Spain could watch the contest.

Millom coach Brad Crellin said: “We had some good go forward early on from Ethan Kelly and Dom O’Brien and were 12-10 up before Hindpool really started making us work for it, causing us to make unforced errors which put us under pressure and they cashed in for a 22-12 half-time lead.
“Our second half performance was much better but Hindpool managed to match us and it was a tough battle for 40 minutes.
“After blowing some early chances we pulled ourselves back into the game led by Kyle Evans and Lee Postlethwaite, and with the scores level ‘Possy’ slotted a drop goal with just four minutes left.”

Elbra and Distington had kickstarted the weekend on the Friday night and the home side led 6-4 at the break thanks to a try from Ryan Wilson on 10 minutes which Rocco Okesene converted.
Distington replied with an unconverted try on 18 minutes from Kieran Worthington.
The visitors then moved ahead with two quick tries on 53 and 59 minutes from Jessie Joe Parker and Kelvin Lynch, which were both converted by Scott George..
When Daniel Penman got over on 66 minutes and Okesene converted it set up a big finish but there were no more points for either side.

In the other game Barrow Island won 48-18 at Seaton after establishing a 24-0 lead by half-time.
Ellis Archer put in another eye-catching display for the Islanders with three tries and landing eight out of eight conversion attempts.
Finn Dutton also helped himself to a hat-trick of tries while Will Scott and Joe Spencely also scored.
For Seaton there were tries by Byron Couldson, Ben Charlesworth and Ben Postlethwaite, with three conversions from Kieran Robinson.
Seaton coach Neil Frazer said: “We did ok for 20 minutes but didn’t capitalise on a few of the Island’s errors and although it was 0-0 we lost our bench with two head knocks.
“Our lads started to tire in the heat and it all got too quick for us round the riuck as they started rolling us down field and by half-time it was 24-0.
“We started the second-half great, scoring a nice try and had the momentum. We broke them again but just couldn’t finish it. At that [point the referee binned pone of our players and it just took all our momentum away and swung the game back in their favour.
“It meant we ended up doing too much defending which took its toll on us. We need to be smarter with the ball and just complete our sets rather than try to do something fancy.
“I can’t fault the effort though and there were some good performances with big minutes in that heat, especially Todd Wilkinson who played 80 minutes at 13 and there were good performances from Byron Coulson and Charlie Ackerley.”
