
Emergency services were mobilised around the coast of West Cumbria after a person was reported missing.
Whitehaven and Maryport Coastguard rescue teams, Wasdale Mountain Rescue Team, Maryport Rescue, West Cumbria Search and Rescue and St Bees RNLI were called out last night, Thursday May 30, after calls that a person had gone missing.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team said: “The missing person was located by Cumbria police search dogs and the police helicopter as ground teams were preparing search plans.
“We extend our thanks to all the teams involved in this callout for their swift and professional response.”
