The A6 was closed in both directions at High Hesket yesterday following a collision.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service was called out at around 1.50pm yesterday, Sunday June 2, to the incident.
A doctor and paramedic from the charity arrived on scene at 2.05pm via a rapid response vehicle.
They worked alongside the North West Ambulance Service to assess and treat a patient before the patient was taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service team.
