On a unique night for Cumbrian football, the county had three players in the England squad that took on Bosnia at St James’ Park in Newcastle.
All started on the bench, and only Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite (Wigton) got on, but it was still a significant game for Cumbria.
Crystal Palace’s Dean Henderson (Whitehaven) and Burnley’s James Trafford (Greysouthen) are rivals for the back-up goalkeeping role in the Euro’s.

They might get their chance – a half each in Friday’s final warm-up against Iceland – although Arsenal’s Aaron Ramsdale is also in the squad.
One of the four keepers is likely to be left out when manager Gareth Southgate announces his official squad on Saturday, trimming the current 33 players to 26.
Branthwaite came on as a second-half substitute for Lewis Dunk and was booked soon afterwards but generally did nothing wrong in his 30 minutes on the field.
He and Henderson have good chances of avoiding Southgate’s axe and making the Euros where England are one of the main fancied sides.
