People planning a trip to the Lake District have been caught unawares by an X-rated page on social media.
Online research for a trip is an integral part before visiting a tourist destination – but people have found explicit content instead of recommendations for the best hotels and tea rooms.
A page has been set up for Cumbria Tourist Information, in a cynical attempt to catch people out. There is no such official organisation.
We were contacted by one person who said an innocent search found the page and they were shocked by its content.
