Take a step back in time at Greystoke Castle with a medieval weekend this month.

The historic castle, near Penrith, will be transformed into a bustling medieval village, with knights in shining armour, elegant damsels, and heart-pounding jousting tournaments.

The family-friendly weekend, on July 20 and July 21, promises to capture the imagination and bring history to life in the most thrilling and entertaining way.

Kids can dive into hands-on activities like making arrowheads, offering a tactile and memorable experience.

The medieval re-enactment at Greystoke Castle stands out as a highlight of the summer, combining excitement and education in a truly unforgettable setting.

It’s the perfect way to start the school holidays and balance fun with learning, making it a must-visit event for families.

When does Greystoke Castle’s medieval weekend take place?

The medieval re-enactment takes place on Saturday, July 20 and Sunday, July 21 from 10am to 4pm.

Tickets are:

  • £15 – adults
  • £10 – under-16s
  • £40 – family (2 adults and 2 children)
