Whitehaven Alive has been postponed to next year.
Organisers of the festival, due to take place from September 12 to September 15 on Whitehaven harbour, said today that it will now take place in May 2025.
This year’s event would have been the third Whitehaven Alive.
The new dates are May 23 to May 26, which is a bank holiday weekend.
Organisers said: “We believe the new dates will make our festival even more spectacular, giving you an extended weekend to enjoy all the music, culture, and community vibes we have planned!”
They added that anyone who had already bought early bird tickets but could not attend on the new dates would get a full refund.
People are asked to email their order confirmation to [email protected]
They added: “We can’t wait to see you all in May for an unforgettable weekend! Thank you for your support and understanding as we make this exciting transition. Stay tuned for more updates and get ready for the best Whitehaven Alive yet!”
Last year, acts included The Vaccines, Jake Bugg, Bjorn Again, Tinie, Boney M and Sophie Ellis Bextor.
Whitehaven Alive also featured market stalls and a fun fair.
