
A dog that fell down a Lake District waterfall has been rescued.
Langdale Ambleside Mountain Rescue Team were called out on Thursday, August 15, at 1.14pm to a dog that had slipped and fallen down the waterfall at Stockghyll, Ambleside.
Team members said the animal had landed in a very precarious position between the two main columns of the waterfall.
A protracted and technical rope rescue took place to successfully recover the dog and return it to its owner.
The rescue lasted around seven hours and involved 19 team members
