A man has been charged following a spate of chicken thefts in Whitehaven and Hensingham.
Owen Carr, 33, of Whitehaven, has been charged with two counts of theft.
Copeland police said: “After months of investigation and evidence gathering, PC 3157 charged Owen Carr.
“Thank you to those involved for your patience and commitment to the case. You’ve all seen the rescue photo; I’m sure the bodycam footage of PC 3157 actually catching the chickens would be top of the list of viewing requests but you aren’t so ‘clucky’.. here’s the moment the recovered chickens returned home instead:”
