The West Cumbria Amalgamation are hoping to race on Bank Holiday Monday.
Due to race from Cannock, the weather forecast for Saturday and Sunday is very poor so those days have been ruled out.
It isn’t a certain goer on Monday, and close monitoring of the prospects will continue, but at the moment clubs should be marking on Sunday for a Monday race.
Race controller Neil Buchanan said: “I will be monitoring the weather forecast and update if things change but fingers crossed we can get a race.”
It will be the first Federation race for the Derwent Valley as they go past 100 miles.
