The Bank Holiday Monday shoot-out between Carlisle and Cockermouth was abandoned without a ball being bowled.
Champions Carlisle, who were hosting the match with second-in-the-table Cockermouth, were faced with a wet and saturated Edenside with the prospect of more rain.
It leaves the title still between the two of them with Carlisle 10 points clear and three games to play.
Carlisle entertain a seemingly fading Whitehaven side on Saturday while Cockermouth travel to an invigorated Furness.
The champions complete their programme with two away games at Workington and Keswick while Cockermouth have two home games against Millom and Wigton.
The only other game called-off yesterday was at Fitz Park where Keswick were due to entertain Dalton.
At the bottom of the table both Haverigg and Egremont lost but the south Cumbrians lost further ground on the Gillfoot side.
For while Egremont took three points from their defeat at Millom, Haverigg only managed a point when they went down at Furness.
It was a 20-overs thrash at Millom because of the conditions and the home chose to bat first, making 147-4.
Home pro Nathan Waterston, in inspired form of late, hammered 88 while Josh Mackie chipped-in with 30.
Lewis Gribbin took three of the four wickets at a cost of 20 from his four overs.
Raghav Kapur took the fight to Millom with a fine 64no but nobody else reached double figures and at the end of 20 overs Egremont were only 112-6.
Five Millom bowlers took wickets with Mackie 2-22 the best.
At Furness visiting Haverigg won the toss and chose to bat first and in 48.1 overs they were bowled out for 139.
Furness needed 39.3 overs to reach 140-2 and claim the winning points.
That win moved Furness back into the top four for the first time this season as Whitehaven slipped-up again.
They lost the Copeland derby at Cleator by five wickets after being invited to bat first.
Whitehaven mustered only 133-9 with Terance Warde virtually fighting a lone battle with 62no as Kian Larmour (12) was the only other batsman in double figures.
Five Cleator bowlers took wickets with David Blackwell (3-19) the best.
Professional Rishabh Tiwari dropped anchor and guided Cleator to 136-5 in 36.4 overs with 72 not out, helped mainly by Tom Sharpe (23).
The other game to be played was at the Valentine ground where there was a welcome win for Workington over Wigton.
The visitors were put-in to bat and were bowled out for 108 in 44.5 overs. Opener John Reed was top-scorer with 29.
Kristian Moffat, who hadn’t been able to play enough for Workington throughout the season, showed his value to the side by taking 5-31.
Workington collected the points after 30.5 overs when they reached 109-3 led by Jack White (62no) and Jake Daniel (27).
