Here is your chance to be a part of Workington RNLI’s history.

The charity celebrates its 200th anniversary this year and we want you to send a message in a bottle to the future.

Join the west coast’s RNLI crews at the Coast To Cobbles event between September 28 and October 12 to celebrate the courage and kindness that has powered the charity’s lifesaving in North West England since 1824.

The RNLI’s special lifeboat and its crew will travel by sea, river and canal – from Silloth in Cumbria to Salford Quays in Greater Manchester – on a lifesaving mission of a different kind.

Along the way, the crew will be filling a time capsule with precious RNLI memories from the courageous lifeboat station volunteers and kind communities they visit.

Workington RNLI wants youngsters aged up to 13 to have the chance to put their message in a bottle in the time capsule.

The volunteer crew will also use the images to help celebrate the Coast to Cobbles event in Workington over the weekend of September 28 and September 29.

The crew will choose the image to put in the time capsule.

All you have to do is print out the bottle at A4 size, colour it in and email it to [email protected]

The closing date is September 16.
