The Fred Conway Cumberland Cup Round One draw has been made by the Cumberland FA with 26 clubs taking part this season.
The competition is once again named in honour of Chairman Fred Conway who passed away in November 2022.
Holders Workington AFC start the defence of the trophy away at Mirehouse who compete in the Cumberland County League Division One. Reds who compete in the Northern Premier League may look to switch the fixture to Borough Park, something that isn’t uncommon in this competition.
EFL outfit Carlisle United, who were the runners up last season, host Workington Juniors of the Cumberland County League Division One. The Juniors are making their debut in this competition while Carlisle will likely field a youthful side.
Elsewhere, Northern League Division One outfit Carlisle City are at home to Cockermouth from the Cumberland County League Premier Division.
The other Northern League Division One side Penrith AFC are on the road to Kirkoswald who compete in Division One of the Westmorland League.
Braithwaite, who play their football in Division Two of the Westmorland League, have a tricky home tie against Wearside League outfit Windscale.
Whitehaven Miners Social who lost to Carlisle United in the semi final last season have a tough draw when they welcome local rivals Cleator Moor Celtic.
Dearham United welcome Wetheriggs United in the only Cumberland County League v Westmorland League tie of the round.
In the all Cumberland County League ties, Silloth host Bransty Rangers and Unisun Athletic travel to Wigton Harriers.
Eden Valley and Fellside United are involved in an all Westmorland League meeting.
Aspatria, Greystoke, Keswick, Langwathby United, Maryport Athletic and Whitehaven AFC all received byes into Round Two.
