A man has been arrested after an incident on a Maryport street involving three people.
Police are investigating the incident, which happened at around 5.45pm on Friday, September 21, near the pocket park on Crosby Street.
The man has been bailed and police said the investigation remained ongoing and they were actively seeking witnesses.
The assault suspect has been described as a white man in his late 30s. At the time of the incident he was wearing black three-quarter trousers with a white stripe down the sides, black shoes and a blue Berghaus jumper.
The woman involved is in her mid-30s and was wearing a white jumper, black shorts and black shoes. This woman sustained facial injuries.
The other man involved was wearing blue denim shorts, a black coat and a dark green hat.
