Ulverston’s Ford Park will hold its 10th anniversary Apple Day this weekend.

The free event, on Saturday October 5, will have lots on offer.

You can bring along your apples for pressing (don’t forget to bring a bottle for your juice) for a small donation, and there will be some apples for sale from the park’s orchard. There will also be children’s crafts, traditional games, a raffle and arts and crafts stalls in the Williams Room and on the terrace.

Cumbria Wildlife Trust, Mycelium Thinking and Master Composters will be there and Bake Off is back.

Fiona MacDonald was star baker last year with her apple cake and this year it could be you!

So, dust off the mixing bowl, grab your rolling pin and create your apple inspired bakes, cakes and chutneys and you could be crowned this year’s star baker! Judging will take place at 2pm.

New charity dog show, Bark in the Park, will also take place.

The dog show will be held on the field, and we have food vendors, face painting, and dog themed stalls, and Church Walk Vets will be there to give advice about looking after your pets!
