The next phase of road improvements in Frizington is due to start on Monday.
The work on the A5086 may mean that access to the household recycling waste centre is restricted – although it will remain open, access cannot be guaranteed, Cumberland Council said.
Phase four, which starts on Monday and is due to be completed by Sunday, October 13, will involve a road closure from Church Street to the household waste recycling centre.
Phase five will begin on Monday October 14 and is expected to finish by Saturday 19 October, with a road closure from the recycling centre to Kenmare Tyres.
People are asked to consider using recycling centres in Workington or Maryport as an alternative while the work is ongoing.
All work is weather-dependent and to minimise disruption to school commutes, school buses will have access from 7.45am to 8.30am and 3pm to 3.45pm.
