Work continues on the £1 million project to upgrade a Frizington road and has now entered its next phase.
Contractors are working on the A5086 in Frizington to improve road safety.
The work involves two-way traffic lights and road closures.
From tomorrow, Friday October 11, until Sunday October 13, a full road closure will be in place from Church Street to the Frizington Household Waste Recycling Centre.
From Monday October 14 to Saturday October 19 a road closure will be in place from the Frizington recycling centre to Kenmare Tyres, subject to weather conditions.
Access to the recycling centre may be limited until Monday October 21, between 7am and 7pm.
While the centre will remain open, access cannot be guaranteed. As an alternative, people are asked to consider using the centres at Workington or Maryport.
To minimise disruption to school commutes, school buses will have access during peak times from 7.45am to 8.30am and 3pm to 3.45pm.
Following a burst water main, the road was closed from Kirkland junction to Kelton Head, to allow United Utilities to work there yesterday and today.
