A Carlisle man is among the favourites to win the TV show Big Brother this year.
Thomas Atkinson, 20, is an amputee footballer.
He was born without a left hand, and was told he would never walk after having his left leg amputated when he was just two.
The goalkeeper has earned a total of 26 caps with the England Amputee national team and currently plays for Legia Warsaw in Poland.
Odds for Thomas winning the show are 9/1 – giving him a 10% chance of success. Lily Benson is 13/5 to win Big Brother.
The 21st season of Big Brother UK premiered on Sunday, October 6 on ITV2 and ITVX.
