Cumbrian brewery’s beers among best in North West

A Cumbrian brewery has had its beers named among the best in the North West.

Lakes Brew Co, based in Kendal, was victorious in the Keg Pale Ale Category for NE Session IPA, at the at the SIBA North West Independent Beer Awards.

The beer will now go forward to the national finals in March.

Lakes Brew Co also won gold for Pie in the Face, Keg Sour & Wild Ale, silver for West Coast IPA, Keg IPA, DDH Pale, Keg Session Pale Ale and
Raise, Keg Session Lager and bronze for What’s the Buzz, Keg Stout & Porter and Pale Ale, Cask Session Pale Ale.

Michelle Gay, co-owner, said: “To go up against some of the best breweries in the North West region and come away with so many accolades is fantastic.

“We are extremely proud of our beers and to have them recognised and awarded so highly by a host of expert independent judges really gives you a sense of achievement of all the hard work we put in as a team.”
