
The first major shows to be put on at Carlisle’s Sands Centre in over a year has been revealed.
Cirque: The Greatest Show – Reimagined is heading to the city in September 2025.
It was announced earlier this week that £2.5 million-worth of work on the venue’s auditorium would be complete by spring next year and the first shows would be staged in the autumn.
Now the venue is announcing shows ahead of its reopening.
After dazzling audiences across the UK in 2023 and 2024, and being seen by over 250,000 people, Cirque: The Greatest Show is back – reimagined,
revamped, and ready to deliver its most electrifying performance yet.
This all-new production will kick off in 2025 and promises to be bigger, bolder, and more spectacular than ever, with Carlisle just added as an additional city!
Get ready for a fusion of iconic West End showstoppers and jaw-dropping circus acts, as Cirque: The Greatest Show takes you on a truly wondrous journey.
Featuring world-class vocalists and a cast of exceptional circus performers showcasing awe-inspiring feats, this reimagined production offers a dazzling spectacle.
From heart-pounding acrobatics to unforgettable musical theatre moments, Cirque: The Greatest Show promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats from start to finish.
Tickets go on sale tomorrow, Friday October 25 and there will be two performances on Saturday September 27 at 3pm and 7.30pm.
Comedian Dara O’Brien has also been revealed as appearing at the Sands on Friday, February 6 2026 with his show Re: Creation. Tickets are on sale from 11am tomorrow, Friday October 25.
