Celebrity goats – with a huge following on social media platform TikTok – are topping the bill at this year’s Holker Hall Winter Market.
Now in its 20th year, the three-day market attracted over 11,000 visitors last year.
Flookburgh’s Karen and Gary, who have more than 220,000 followers on the platform, will bring their boisterous style to proceedings when they cut (or possibly eat) the ribbon at noon on Friday, November 1, to declare this year’s market open.
The first Holker Winter Market in 2004 had just 23 stalls.
Twenty year later, the event boasts 125 stalls of local and artisan food, drink, arts, crafts and gifts as well as live music, fairground rides and even fire eaters.
Holker’s head of visitor services Fran Horne said: “We are thrilled to be celebrating 20 years of winter markets here at Holker Hall & Gardens.
“This hugely popular event has become a staple in the local events calendar and is enjoyed by thousands every year.
“Along with over 125 stalls, you can expect to be entertained by a fantastic range of live music, street performers and children’s entertainment.”
