Cleator Moor Celtic still sit bottom of the West Lancashire League Premier Division but put up a good performance in defeat at CMB.
The Bolton side were runners-up last year and currently sit third in the table yet after 58 minutes it was all square at 2-2.
Unfortunately for the West Cumbrians they were on the wrong end of a poor refereeing decision which gave away a free kick on the edge of the area and was subsequently arrowed into the Celtic net.
Then with Celtic chasing the game CMB added a fourth and it finished 4-2 which was a bit harsh on the visitors who had a goal disallowed in the first-half.
Callum Ewalsh had given CMB the lead on 11 minutes and the experienced Carl Grimshaw headed in the second after 33 minutes.
Grimshaw had spent 12 years at Charnock Richard where he became a club legend, scoring an incredible 474 competitive goals in 432 appearances.
After having a goal disallowed when the home keeper fumbled a cross, Celtic did reduce the arrears through Owen O’Neill after 37 minutes.
Celtic started the second-half really well and drew level with a good finish from Leon Dmystrowki, looking as though they could go on and win it.
But a soft free kick on the edge of the area was punished by Grimshaw on 68 minutes and as Celtic chased the game Charlie Scholes knocked in a fourth for CMB in the fourth minute of time added on.
