Police have made an arrest following a spate of night-time thefts from sheds, outbuildings and vehicles across South Cumbria.
Kirkbarrow, Kendal Green and Oxenholme appear to be the most heavily targeted areas.
South Lakes Police said that officers from the Neighbourhood Policing Team and Tactical Support Group located and arrested a man suspected to be involved on Thursday.
A number of searches were conducted and property recovered.
It added: “The investigation is ongoing and we are following a number of lines of enquiry. If you have been the victim of one of these offences and not yet reported it please get in touch on 101 or report on our website so that we have the fullest picture of where and when these offences have been committed.”
