It was a reduced programme in the West Cumberland Sunday League on another weather-affected weekend.
The headline news was that Deer Orchard have reached the President’s Cup final and await the outcome of the other semi-final between Northside and Thornhill.
Orchard are enjoying their best season for a number of years and romped into the final with a 9-2 win against The Sun.
Ben Rathbone (5) and Luke Graham (3) did the bulk of the scoring with Mike Graham also on the scoresheet. Brandon O’Fee and Joe Dobinson scored for The Sun.
The only other games were both in Division One, and one of those was abandoned after 75 minutes with King’s Arms leading Salterbeck 3-1 through goals from Kieran Fraser (2) and Luke Elliot.
The other game finished all square as Borough Miners picked-up only their second point after a 2-2 draw at Swan.
Jay Dempsey scored both for Swan while Dan Graham bagged both for the Workington side.
