
Penrith continued their build-up to the season with a 7-1 home win over Queen of the South reserves.
It was a good workout for the Bonny Blues after their last friendly had been postponed when scheduled opponents Dalbeattie Star pulled out.
There was a lot for manager Jim Nichols to feel pleased about, especially a first-half hat-trick from Jamie Bell.
Penrith were able to add to that in the second-half through Jordan Palmer (2), Lewis Jolly and Joe Bell, while conceding only one goal themselves.
