Flood alerts and a warning remain in place for Cumbria following Storm Darragh at the weekend.

While the storm had the most impact on the county on Saturday, it eased yesterday.

No weather warnings are in force today, Monday December 9.

Flood warning

A flood warning is in place for Keswick Campsite.

Lake levels are slowly falling but flooding continues, following Storm Darragh. Areas most at risk include low lying areas bordering the shores of Derwentwater and the frontage of the Keswick Camping and Caravan Club Site. Lake levels are forecast to continue falling as weather conditions improve.

Flood alerts

Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwentwater

High lake levels will continue to cause flooding of roads and low-lying land. Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the Upper River Derwent, Stonethwaite Beck and Derwentwater, with low lying land and roads expected to be most affected, particularly around the Upper Derwent from Seathwaite to Derwentwater. Lake levels are forecast to begin falling as weather conditions improve.

Rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster

High lake levels will continue to cause flooding of roads and low lying land. Areas most at risk include rivers Brathay, Rothay and Winster and other watercourses, from Grasmere to Grange-over-Sands including low lying areas around Ambleside, Skelwith Bridge, Windermere, Hawkshead, Newby Bridge, Backbarrow, Cark and Cartmel.
