Witnesses are being sought after a bogus tradesmen were reported in the Heversham area.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have come into contact with the tradesmen, specifically in the areas of Woodhouse Lane and surrounding streets in the last two weeks.
It is suspected a scam has been carried out where a signed blank cheque is obtained, which an offender then completes and adds in a value in the thousands.
Police are keen to hear about a small white van potentially being used. It may be a white Ford or Peugeot “caddy style” van.
