Roadworks on Cleator’s Main Street will continue until this Friday, after experiencing slight delays due to the weather.
Work is being carried out on pavements of the A5086.
Temporary traffic lights and a stop-and-go system, will be in place.
Cumberland Council said it recognised that the essential work may cause inconvenience to road users, particularly as the A5086 is a major route.
The council said it was actively collaborating with local stakeholders, including parish councils and local representatives, to reduce disruption wherever possible.
