Five triallists have signed for Whitehaven.
Harley Nelson and Aaron Burns, of Kells, Emerson Allen and Mitchell Todd, of Lowca, and Ben Atkinson, of Dalton have been announced as joining the side.
The five players have been part of the pre-season training and have signed trialist forms which will allow them the opportunity to play in the pre-season clashes.
Head coach Anthony Murray said: “We will be giving them an opportunity.
“They need to play and show what they can do, they’ve showed what they can do in training and I’ve been really impressed, worked hard and come in with a good attitude and a really good skill set.
“Fair play to the community clubs around here that have been coaching these lads, I’m really pleased with that and impressed with what is going on locally.”
