A water main in Carlisle has burst.
United Utilities said the problem had been reported in the CA2 and CA3 postcodes, causing low pressure or no water for businesses and households, yesterday Saturday January 11.
Firefighters were also at the scene in the city centre.
Corporation Road and Peter Street are affected.
Carlisle West Fire Station said: “Some areas of the city may have woke up or realised when going to make a brew that they had no water.”
Repairs got underway at around 6.15pm and United Utilities issued an update at 12.07am today, Sunday January 12, to say that the issue had been resolved.
It added: “You may still see us out and about in the area over the next few days as we still have some work to do to complete the repairs.
“We’ll of course be returning to tidy up the area too once we have finished. We’re sorry if this causes any disruption but we’ll try and keep this to a minimum.”
