The Division 1 title contenders open with a Tom Thompson 52-21 win over Dan Hallam, setting the tone in what ended up being a one-sided contest.
Darren Lawson extended Station Road’s lead in frame two with a flawless 73-17 victory against Simon Tootle, highlighting his clinical finishing.

Workington Golf Club maintained their third place position in Division 1 with a commanding 4-1 victory over Division 2’s United Club B.
Golf club captain Mark Brasted set the tone with a composed 64-26 win against David Petrie, however Vets B’s Richard Kirkham produced a quite brilliant 43-36 victory over singles champion Ryan Ismay in frame two to level the match at 1-1.
Stephen Harrison put up a brave fight for United B in frame three but narrowly lost 49-47 to Bryan Walker, as Golf Club moved 2-1 ahead.
Mark Cowan ensured the victory for the golf club in frame four, delivering a strong performance to beat Shane Tallentire 62-31, putting his side in an unassailable 3-1 lead.

Phil Sorfleet maximised the golf club’s winning margin in the last frame of the match with a 49-21 win over Andrew Carter to end the contest at 4-1.
The result moves the golf club to a Division 1 total of 25 points, keeping them in contention for the top spot, while United B remain sit second in Division 2 with 17 points.
Workington Conservative Club secured a crucial 3-2 victory over Whitehaven’s Rack Shack in a tightly contested all Division 2 clash, maintaining their top spot in the process.
Alan Moore opened with a controlled 66-33 win over Phil Denvir to give Cons the early lead.
The Rack Shack’s Neil Dougherty produced a brilliant colours clearance in frame two, showcasing his grit and determination, to overcome Julian Plaza 61-49 and level the match at 1-1.
Rack Shack fought back in the third frame, with Chris McKelvey delivering a commanding 58-29 win against Brian Kendall to pull one back for the hosts.
David Holland put Cons 2-1 ahead in frame three with a composed 65-16 win over Andy Moore, delivering a cool 36 break in the process.
Ryan Barker made sure that the Cons side went home with the victory as he defeated Adam Morilla 55-22 to make it 3-1.
In the last frame of the match Chris McKelvey eased the Rack Shack’s pain as he proved victorious over Brian Kendall in 58-29 scoreline.
The result moves Workington Cons to 23 points in topping Division 2, while the Rack Shack remain third with 14 points.
Finally, last weeks Division 1 leaders, Workington’s United Club A suffered a 3-2 away defeat at the hands of fellow top tier side, Workington Veterans Club A in a high-quality clash.
Mark Tunstall gave Vets A an early lead, defeating Andrew Mitchelhill 73-45 with some exceptional tactical play and precise potting.
Vets A captain Kevin Basnett extended the home side’s advantage with a nerveless brown to black clearance to seal a 50-42 win over Tony Hindmoor, showcasing his composure under pressure.
United A responded in frame three as Clive Lister played a strong tactical game to defeat Mark Tatton 57-26 and bring the visitors back into the match.
United A’s Peter O’Hagan levelled the contest at 2-2 in a nail-biting frame, that ended with a good piece of fortune on the black in 54-53 victory.
In the deciding frame, Paul Smith delivered under pressure to secure a 47-36 victory over Mark Suitor, sealing a hard-fought 3-2 win for Vets A outfit.
The result see Vets A improve their points total to 24, however they still sit bottom of the division in fourth while while United A drop to second on 26 points.
