St Benedict’s School and Mayfield School in Whitehaven will be closed today, Monday January 27, due to storm damage.
The secondary school part of its roof was damaged during Storm Eowyn.
It said the building had to be inspected before it could be deemed safe for students and staff to return.
It said: “This inspection is likely to take place on Monday, and therefore in consultation with the local authority we have decided that both schools (Mayfield and St Benedict’s) will remain closed on Monday, January 27.”
