A man has been arrested after a woman was assaulted in a Lake District town.
The incident happened at around 6pm on January 31 on Ambleside Road near Phoenix Way, Windermere.
A man in his 30s from the Kendal area was arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was bailed whilst enquiries continue.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, and specifically would like to hear from two women driving a white car, reported to have been in the area and may have helped the woman.
Police would also like to hear from anyone who may have CCTV of any other footage of the incident.
