A Cumbrian 14-year-old has signed for Manchester United.
Goalkeeper Marley Irving, of Cleator Moor, began his footballing career with Cleator Moor Celtic’s aged six.
He went on to play for Carlisle United’s under-eights and also plays for rugby outfit Wath Brow Hornets under-14s side.
Cleator Moor Celtic said: “Massive congratulations from the whole club to Marley. Everyone wishes you all the best for the future.”
