A man has died following a collision in Whitehaven.
Emergency services were called at around 1pm today, March 3, to a report of a single vehicle collision on Whinlatter Road, Mirehouse, near the Nisa Local store.
The driver of the vehicle, a man in his mid-60s, was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who has any information to make contact with them.
Cumbria police added that the family of the man were aware and were receiving support by specialist officers.
The road has now reopened.
