A Starbucks could be coming to Kendal.
Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd has submitted a planning application to Westmorland and Furness Council to display a Starbucks sign on the outside of the store, off Shap Road.
If approved, the proposed Starbucks sign would be to the right of the supermarket entrance.
This comes after plans were lodged for the coffee chain to replace the former Little Chef restaurant chain at the westbound Greystones Services on the A590, near Witherslack.
The proposed development on the A590 would consist of an extension of the existing building including outside seating areas, a drive-thru lane, 30 car parking spots (including disabled spaces), as well as eight fast-charge electric vehicle charging points.
The application to place a Starbucks sign outside the Sainsbury’s off Shap Road is under consideration by Westmorland and Furness Council.
