A makers market will return to a West Cumbrian town this month.
Organisers of the TEG retail Makers Market in Whitehaven said it was coming back after a ‘brief hiatus’ and promised the markets would be bigger and better than ever, showcasing local artisans, crafters, and small businesses from across the region.
The TEGretail Makers Market, with handmade goods, food, and live entertainment, will takes place every third Saturday of the month on King Street.
Lara Schwab, market co-ordinator, said: “We are thrilled to welcome back the TEGretail Makers Market in 2025. After such a successful 2024 we’re ready to take things to the next level.

“This market is all about celebrating creativity, craftsmanship, and the incredible talent that resides in Cumbria. We’ve brought together an exciting group of makers and creators, and we’re confident this year’s events will be a highlight for everyone.”
People will have the chance to meet the makers, learn about their craft, and take home one-of-a-kind pieces.

In addition to the market stalls, there will be entertainment, including live music, performances, and workshops.
The first market will be held on March 15, from 10am to 3pm.
