Performers from across Cumbria have been awarded for their work on stage over the last 12 months in prestigious awards.
The NODA District 10 awards celebrate the best productions and performers across Workington, Carlisle, Penrith and Whitehaven.
At a recent awards ceremony, held at the Washington Central Hotel in Workington, the societies discovered who had won and were treated to a surprise appearance by musical theatre legend Marti Webb, who reprised some of her most famous performances with songs including Tell Me on a Sunday, Take That Look Off Your Face and Don’t Cry for Me Argentina.
Members of Workington Amateur Operatic Society were nominated in 10 categories, including Best Musical for The Little Mermaid.
They came away with a total of six wins, plus an additional award that was announced on the night.
The winners of the six main categories will go on to compete at the North West regional awards in Manchester May.
