Retail space is available to rent at a Cumbrian railway station – and train operator Northern said people should consider setting up shop.
The two-storey 200sq ft building at Ulverston Railway Station was used by Bikestation.
The marketing information said pre-Covid, the station had an annual estimated footfall of 307,416. The station itself is Grade II-listed and services that use it include Lancaster to Barrow and from Preston and Manchester Airport.
Northern is seeking a rental offer based on a percentage of turnover, subject to a minimum guaranteed rent – however, no figures are mentioned on the marketing material for the building.

Northern said 29 units were available at the stations it runs.
Robert Ellams, head of property at Northern, said: “There are some prime commercial spaces available at stations across our network that benefit from high footfall and great connectivity.
“Many of them are located within heritage buildings that mean a lot to the local community that use them.
“I would encourage any local business owner to consider ‘setting up shop’ on the railway and to check out the units currently up for grabs.”
