A serious collision closed a road in South Cumbria yesterday.
Emergency services were called at around 5.20pm yesterday, Tuesday April 1, to Ulverston Road in Dalton-in-Furness.
The road was closed at Elliscales roundabout and also at Crooklands Garden Centre.
The collision involved a grey BMW.
Police said today, Tuesday April 2, that the driver of the car, a man in his 50s, was declared dead at the scene.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the collision or anyone who has any relevant dashcam footage to get in touch with officers.
