Over 200 warning letters have been sent out to speeding drivers in an area of Carlisle.
Carlisle police said people had raised concerns over the speed of vehicles on Garlands Road and Brisco.
They added: “We have been working with partners with local parish councils to monitor speeds.
“Since April 1 we have issued in excess of 200 warning letters for repeat offenders.
“We hope to see a reduction in speed in these areas but fair warning, enforcement activity will now take place at identified peak times.”
