
Emergency services were called out last night following concerns for the safety of a person at a West Cumbrian harbour.
Workington RNLI was called at around 10.35pm yesterday, Wednesday April 16, to Whitehaven Harbour.
The volunteer crew launched the all-weather lifeboat the Dorothy May White at 10.55pm.

Also called to the scene were Whitehaven and Maryport Coastguard rescue teams, Cumbria police, Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service and the ambulance service.
Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team said: “The incident was brought to a positive conclusion.
“We’d like to thank all our partner agencies for their swift support and teamwork during this callout.”
