B&M will open its new Carlisle store next month.
The retailer has taken over the former premises of Wilko, part of Carlisle Market Hall, and its new outlet will create 40 jobs.
B&M said following an extensive revamp, the 21,283sq ft store will open its doors on Friday May 30 at 8am.
The company said: “We’re feeling extremely positive about the creation of more jobs for local people, and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.
“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome new customers through the door.”
B&M’s former Carlisle city centre store was in the old Woolworths building on English Street.
