Muncaster Castle’s Sausage Festival returns this weekend.
It features sausage racing, sausage tossing, sausage dog competitions, and sausage tasting and visitors can vote for the Sausage Champion 2025.
This year’s talented sausage makers are: Wasdale Mill, The Cumbrian Boerewors Co, Melville Tyson, Yardies Jamaican Street Food, Bewleys Sausage Ltd and Istanbul’s Kitchen.
And for those looking for plant-based bites, Dosa Chaska will be serving up vegan options.
One of the new highlights for 2025 is sausage racing.
Ewan Frost Pennington said: “Muncaster Sausage Festival is about celebrating Cumberland culture and traditions, both old and new. We hope people will still be sausage racing in 100 years time too!”
The Sausage Festival runs from May 3 to May 5.
