Police were called after concerns were reported about a man’s behaviour at a South Cumbrian hospital.
Officers were called to Furness General Hospital in Barrow yesterday, Monday May 12, at around 7.15pm due to concerns about the behaviour of a man outside a department.
Cumbria police said: “A swift deployment of officers followed. The man was detained by police and is now in the care of medical professionals.
“We can reassure people there is no threat to the public and the hospital remains safe to visit.”
