An 86-year-old woman took on a treetop adventure in the Lake District.
Margaret O’Neill belongs to iCan, a Cumbrian community interest company dedicated to breaking down fitness and wellbeing barriers.
The organisation took 50 people to Whinlatter Forest, near Keswick, 19 of whom took on the Go Ape experience.
Completing Go Ape’s Treetop Adventure Plus course with no trouble, Margaret said, “I’m not ready to grow old yet, I’m enjoying my life. I loved Go Ape and I’d do it again.”
She started her iCan journey in 2022, attends a number of fitness classes every week and loves keeping fit.
But it’s not all about the workouts. She loves the social side too, attending their group social events from Wainwright walks and theatre trips, and even went stand up paddleboarding last year.
